Mrs. Todd's Class!

 Greetings from Mrs. Todd's Classroom!

We have passed our 100th day of school and are quickly approaching spring.  We have early release Friday after our Valentine's celebration @ 11:00.  Enjoy an extra day off as we celebrate our countries President's day!  Thank you to our room mom's for making our party a success.
Next week we will learn the letter "Ll" and the number twelve.  We will look for "Ll" both indoors and out.  Help your child discover them everywhere you are.  We will compare the beginning sounds of words and tell whether the two words begin with the same or different.  We will also focus on problem solving.  Our book is "Miss Mary Mack".

The following week we will learn the letter "Gg" and the number 13.  "Gg" words are everywhere!  In the grocery store or garden.  Where can you find them?  We will talk about ways children work together to help others and get jobs done.  Children will work together to put away toys, pass out things, and clean up messes.  How can we also help at home?  Our story is "Close your Eyes", about a little tiger who has trouble closing his eyes and sleeping.

We have had a lot of children become ill the past week or so.  We do our part each day by washing hands, keeping our hands and bodies to ourselves and sanitizing the class twice per day.  Please keep your child home if they have a fever, cough, tummyache or diarrhea.  They must remain at home for a full 24 hours after fever, vomiting/diarrhea subsides.  These extra measures on all our parts will help keep us all healthy!
