At St. Mark’s, we believe a student uniform compliments our desire to improve the
educational atmosphere on campus. We ask students grades Pre-Kindergarten
through 8th to follow the dress code. Teachers are asked to assist with enforcement
of the code.
Girls are required to attend school in the following attire:
• Navy blue or the “Classic Navy Large Plaid” jumper, slacks, skirt, skort or shorts.
No torn or ripped clothing.
• Red or White short or long-sleeved shirt with a collar (Navy blouses are
permitted only if worn with St. Mark’s sanctioned plaid jumpers, skorts, skirts,
etc)
• No extreme haircuts or hair color.
• No visible temporary tattoos.
Boys are required to attend school in the following attire:
• Navy blue pants or shorts. No torn or ripped clothing.
• Black, brown or navy belts are to be worn for 1st- 8th grades if the garment has
belt loops.
• White or red short or long-sleeved shirt with collar or turtleneck. Must be
tucked in.
• Hair must be worn well-groomed and above the collar.
• No extreme hair cuts or hair color.
• No visible temporary tattoos.
Students should wear tennis shoes at all times.
Sweater, jackets, sweatshirts, hoodies worn in the school building may not feature
brand names like “Gap” or Abercrombie” and should be navy, white or red.
The first Friday of the month is free dress day, with the following guidelines: No lowcut,
midriff, backless, tank or spaghetti strap tops; no sunglasses or hats may be
worn inside the building; no cut-off jeans or jeans with holes; no ultra baggy pants
with low waist bands; no short-shorts or mini dresses/skirts.
The third Friday of the month is College Colors Day, with the following guidelines:
Students may wear their favorite college or university shirts or team colors with no
restriction on style of pants, shorts, skirts or skorts; or any St. Mark’s shirt (field trip
shirts, Fall Fiesta shirts, etc).
