New State Law Prohibits Cell Use in School Zones

Starting September 1st, Texas state law prohibits the use of cell phones while driving in any school zone.  For St. Mark's parents, that means while on Love Road in front of the school, or when driving through the front parking lot.  Please refrain from cell phone conversations in these areas.

Guidelines for New St. Mark's School Families

   Park In Designated Areas Only

Wednesday, February 18; Parent's, Grandparents, friends and visitors: we'd like to remind everyone that there is NO PARKING on Sliverwood or Oleander.  The area along the side of the school is marked with NO PARKING signs in accordance with El Paso's parking ordnance.  If you choose to park in this NO PARKING area, you are subject to being ticketed.  We'd also like to remind everyone to follow the arrows, and do NOT enter the parking lot from the outlet.  We have had complaints from neighbors in the area who say they have barely avoided accidents from this reckless behavior.
As your child's role model, we'd like you to consider the lesson you are teaching by breaking this simple parking law.  St. Mark's is working hard to be a 'good neighbor'.  We can all teach respect by adhering to the rules.
