The STAR reading test (Standardized Test for the Assessment of Reading) is designed to determine a student's reading range for the ACCELERATED READING program. This reading range helps your child to select the right book for his/her reading ability. Each student in 1st through 6th Grade is tested at the beginning of the school, middle of the school year, and at the end of the school year.  Your child's teacher will send a Parent Report home when testing has been completed at the beginning of the school year.  Each child is encouraged to read within their reading range to achieve their reading goals. We recommend students practice 30 minutes everyday with an A.R. book. The A.R. Quiz list shows all the book titles we currently own. It is sorted reading level, and then alphabetically by title.
